Phân tích
Moves Grass Knot offers solid coverage against usual Fire-type checks such as Jellicent, Regirock, and Gastrodon. Focus Blast allows Simisear to break past bulky Normal-types such as Audino and Type: Null more easily, as well as providing a stronger, albeit unreliable, neutral coverage option against other Fire-types like Combusken and Turtonator. Hidden Power Ice gives Simisear a reliable attack against Dragon-types such as Altaria and Silvally-Dragon. Set Details Firium Z powers up Fire Blast to enable Simisear to be more threatening without a boost and also gives it the ability to break down specially defensive walls or tanks such as Clefairy, Eelektross, and Hitmonchan. Grassium Z turns Grass Knot into a one-time powerful attack that lets Simisear OHKO Lanturn, Qwilfish, and defensive Poliwrath after a boost, which is something Grass Knot cannot accomplish on its own. However, Bloom Doom lacks Inferno Overdrive's raw power, so it leaves Simisear unable to break past the aforementioned specially defensive Pokemon. Usage Tips Utilize Simisear's solid Speed tier and coverage to threaten a Pokemon out such as Jynx or Oricorio-E, and attack or set up Nasty Plot. Only set up when Simisear can force a switch, as it can't afford to take a hit while setting up. Simisear is quite frail, especially considering its Stealth Rock weakness, so avoid switching it into any attacks, as most of them can either KO Simisear or weaken it to the point where it can't set up. Simisear can also throw out attacks before a boost to hit offensive checks such as Lycanroc or Floatzel that it lures in on the switch. Be conservative with its Z-Move, and don't make it obvious which one it's running, as the potential threat of either Z-Move allows Simisear to threaten out and break through more Pokemon. Simisear can wallbreak early- or mid-game to open up holes in the opposing team and possibly attempt to go for a sweep itself late-game once certain roadblocks such as Choice Scarf users have been dealt with by its teammates. Team Options Simisear greatly appreciates pivots that can bring it in safely, so options like Lanturn and Eelektross pair nicely. Paralysis support from Thunder Wave users such as Qwilfish can cripple Pokemon that can usually revenge kill Simisear, such as Lycanroc and Dodrio, while Knock Off from Scyther and Dodrio can similarly slow down Choice Scarf users like Kabutops and Aurorus. Cleaners such as Kangaskhan, Pinsir, and Gurdurr can take advantage of bulkier walls like Mudsdale, Jellicent, and Musharna being broken down by Simisear. Pokemon like Poliwrath, Floatzel, and Mudsdale appreciate opposing Water-types being worn down, and in return they can check Lycanroc and Alolan Dugtrio. Simisear's weakness to Stealth Rock means that entry hazard removers like Skuntank and Alolan Sandslash make for good partners as well, with Simisear also being capable of breaking through certain Stealth Rock users they may struggle with, such as Regirock and Mudsdale.
