Phân tích
Double Dance Duosion is a lethal wincon that can very quickly get out of hand, especially once it accumulates its boosts against ill-prepared teams. Magic Guard grants Duosion immunity to indirect forms of damage such as poison and entry hazards, while its natural bulk enables it to take hits from and set up on all but the strongest Pokemon in the tier and Dark-types. Acid Armor and Calm Mind rapidly boost Duosion's defensive stats, making it nearly impossible to KO without a critical hit. At the same time, they increase Duosion's Special Attack and the Base Power of Stored Power. Alternatively, Psyshock is a strong STAB move that is not reliant on stat boosts to deal significant damage. Finally, Recover allows Duosion to continue setting up on attacks that it shrugs off more easily with each boost. With 252 Defense EVs and a Bold nature, Duosion can take multiple Knock Offs from the likes of Monferno, Thwackey, and Pignite while boosting its Defense with Acid Armor to more than offset the loss of its Eviolite. Double Dance Duosion's main weakness is its complete inability to hit Dark-type foes like Krokorok and Scraggy. It therefore needs teammates that can consistently switch into and deal with these Pokemon such as Clefairy and Seadra. It also struggles against the two main Steel-types in the tier. Hisuian Sliggoo can beat this set with Acid Spray, while Tinkatuff can stop it with Encore. Strong physical attackers that can hit these Pokemon super effectively, like Pignite, Piloswine, and Monferno, therefore make great teammates. Alternatively, specific lures for Dark- and Steel-type Pokemon can punch important holes in opposing team structures for Duosion to take advantage of. These include Fire Punch Alolan Grimer for Tinkatuff, Drain Punch or Hammer Arm Thwackey for Hisuian Sliggoo, and Play Rough Tinkatuff for Krokorok. In addition to Tinkatuff, other Encore users like Quaxwell and Clefairy pose similar threats to Double Dance Duosion, as do Taunt users like Servine, Fletchinder, and Hakamo-o. Finally, status spreaders help Duosion by either giving it free setup opportunities with paralysis or putting opposing Pokemon on a timer with poison. Such Pokemon include Thunder Wave and Glare users like Drakloak and Dunsparce, Toxic Spikes setters like Koffing and Stunky, and Glimmet with either Corrosion + Toxic or Toxic Debris.
