Analisi

Flaaffy's workable bulk, rare Electric typing, and access to the coveted Heal Bell make it a metagame staple. Hidden Power Grass targets Ground-types such as Rhyhorn and Cubone and 2HKOes Chinchou, which are immune to Thunderbolt. Fire Punch targets Grass-types and Magnemite, which resist the combination of Thunderbolt and Hidden Power Grass. This notably 2HKOes Gloom, a foe that could otherwise use Flaaffy as setup fodder. Static is Flaaffy's only available ability, though it has use letting Flaaffy paralyze foes that use contact moves. Flaaffy best fits on balance and bulky offense teams that want a Pokemon that can cure status conditions for its team. Offensive Pokemon such as Aipom and Ponyta appreciate Flaaffy removing status conditions they may take while wallbreaking, while defensive Pokemon appreciate Flaaffy removing Toxic from them, such as in the case of Tropius and Porygon, or wake them up after using Rest, such as in the case of Noctowl. Flaaffy has significant competition with Delcatty in this role, though Flaaffy justifies its use with its solid offensive presence, making it effective at taking on some physical walls and Electic-weak foes such as Koffing, Wartortle, and Noctowl. While Flaaffy can be used to defensively check some foes such as Elekid and Koffing, it is quite frail and thus should generally avoid taking hits; as a result, bulky teammates such as Tropius, Mightyena, and Gloom make great partners. Bulky attackers such as Tropius and Castform can also form potent offensive cores with Flaafy, with them able to KO or status each other's checks. Flaafy can't break through some special walls such as Porygon, making wallbreakers such as Choice Band Aipom useful partners. Flaaffy has the tendency to get worn down quickly due to its lack of reliable recovery, making Wish users such as Delcatty and Drowzee good teammates on more defensive teams. Despite the fact that Flaaffy should generally avoid taking hits, Static can let it punish weak contact attackers such as Delcatty and defensive variants of Mightyena. In a pinch, Flaaffy can also try to force paralysis on a wallbreaker such as Aipom or Meditite, though it will usually be KOed in the process.
