Análisis
Scald can hit decently hard and can be used to stop Wishiwashi from being setup fodder for Pokemon like Swords Dance Sneasel and Doublade. Rest is important to minimize the chance of the Schooling deactivating while also increasing Wishiwashi's longevity. The set can alternatively be run with maximum Special Defense and Sassy nature or a mixed spread, giving it a better matchup against special Pokemon like Charizard and Meteor Beam Archeops. The 4 Speed EVs allow Wishiwashi to creep uninvested Gigalith despite the Speed-negating nature, although 0 Speed IVs are also an option to make Wishiwashi an even slower pivot. Wishiwashi is a great check against many offensive and defensive Pokemon like Sandslash and Weezing, so it can be brought in to endure their hits while weakening and potentially crippling them with a burn before pivoting to a teammate like Trevenant or Gallade to give them a chance to KO or set up. Wishiwashi can also be paired with other pivot users like Archeops and Magneton to maintain momentum while wearing down the foes. Because of Wishiwashi's weaknesses to Electric- and Grass-types such as Vikavolt and offensive Eldegoss, their respective checks like Gigalith and Charizard make for good teammates.
