Grassy Seed triggers Unburden while providing a much-needed Defense boost, which aids Shroodle in setting up. Swords Dance allows Shroodle to reach threatening levels of Attack, which help it secure OHKOs on metagame staples like Mienfoo, Vullaby, Foongus, and Toedscool. Gunk Shot threatens heavy damage on most foes at the risk of lower accuracy, while Knock Off removes Eviolite from walls like Mareanie. Alternatively, Double-Edge is an accurate STAB move that allows Shroodle to hit Mudbray and Mareanie for huge damage without burning its own Terastallization at the cost of recoil damage. Acrobatics pairs well with Grassy Seed, gaining a power boost after Shroodle consumes Grassy Seed and allowing it to pressure key threats like Mienfoo and Foongus. Tera Flying provides Shroodle with an immunity to Ground-type attacks from Mudbray and Alolan Diglett, making it easier for it to set up and boosting Acrobatics for late-game cleaning.
