Análisis

Dudunsparce is a reliable Stealth Rock lead on hyper offense and paralysis-spreading wallbreaker on offensive builds that combines strong immediate pressure with good natural bulk. Glare cripples faster threats such as Munkidori, Flygon, and Scyther, allowing both Dudunsparce and its teammates to outspeed them. Hex takes advantage of this by heavily punishing paralyzed targets like Bronzong and Basculegion, while Earth Power is an alternative option that more directly pressures bulkier Pokemon such as Copperajah, Duraludon, and Incineroar. However, Hex is generally preferred to avoid being walled by Bronzong, Brambleghast, and Decidueye once they are paralyzed. Stealth Rock helps hyper offense teams by chipping foes into range of a KO, but Roost allows Dudunsparce to last longer on offense teams to check the likes of Chandelure and Houndstone. Chople Berry improves its consistency as a lead by letting it survive super effective Fighting-type attacks from wallbreakers such as Infernape and Heracross, allowing Dudunsparce to cripple them with Glare in return. Throat Spray is an alternative option that gives Dudunsparce immediate wallbreaking power after a Boomburst at the cost of reliability. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Dudunsparce to constantly switch in and out of the field without worry of entry hazards, but this item is negligible when Dudunsparce is ran on hyper offensive teams. 140 Speed EVs let Dudunsparce outspeed uninvested bulky Pokemon such as Vaporeon, Wo-Chien, Houndstone, as well as defensive Tsareena. After a Rattled boost, it can outspeed Pokemon such as Incineroar, Sylveon, Adamant Basculegion-M, and Adamant Toxicroak, letting it cripple them with Glare or pressure them with its attacks. The remaining HP investment improves its overall bulk, helping it more reliably take hits at full health. Tera Ghost further boosts Hex and gives Dudunsparce a useful Fighting immunity, letting it avoid attacks from Heracross and Paldean Tauros-W if it lacks a Chople Berry or after the Berry has been consumed. Tera Water gives Dudunsparce useful resistances to Water- and Fire-type attacks while making it neutral to Fighting-type attacks, helping it stomach hits from threats such as Basculegion-M, Chandelure, and Paldean Tauros-F. Dudunsparce fits best on offense teams that appreciate its ability to set Stealth Rock; spread paralysis with Glare; and heavily chip common walls such as Altaria, Vaporeon, Copperajah, Duraludon, Swampert, and Scream Tail with Boomburst. Additional support from teammates like Klefki, which can set Spikes or dual screens, helps further stack entry hazard damage and aid teammates in setting up. Wallbreakers like Munkidori, Chandelure, Staraptor, Heracross, and Flamigo benefit from Dudunsparce getting Stealth Rock up early and spreading paralysis, which slows down faster attackers like opposing Munkidori, Choice Scarf Flamigo, and Tornadus. In return, they wear down defensive staples like Swampert, Wo-Chien, and Vaporeon. However, Dudunsparce often struggles against specially bulky Pokemon such as Goodra and Chansey, which can stomach its attacks and force it out. After setting Stealth Rock and spreading paralysis, Dudunsparce often faints to Fighting-types, giving teammates like Munkidori, Uxie, Chandelure, and Meloetta a free switch to regain momentum, while setup sweepers such as Scyther and Scrafty take advantage of the slowed opposing team. Psychic-types such as Uxie and Munkidori especially enjoy Dudunsparce, since it chips Steel-types like Duraludon and Copperajah, easing their sweep. Paralysis lets these teammates set up or clean without being forced out by faster attackers that would otherwise revenge kill them, such as Infernape and opposing Scyther for Scrafty, Paldean Tauros-W and Flygon for Chandelure, and Tornadus for Munkidori and Scyther. As a result, Munkidori and Chandelure can find setup opportunities more easily, Scrafty needs fewer Dragon Dance boosts to outspeed these revenge killers, Scyther can drop priority moves for options like Trailblaze, and Meloetta becomes much harder to revenge kill. If Dudunsparce lacks Stealth Rock, it can be paired with Swampert and Duraludon, the former of which carries utility in Knock Off and can be a Fighting-type check while the latter offers Roar and Thunder Wave to contribute to the paralysis-spreading nature of Dudunsparce.

Análisis

Set Details Calm Mind Dudunsparce can utilize the immense power of Boomburst to become an incredibly difficult setup sweeper to remove. Shadow Ball can hit Pokemon such as Chandelure, Basculegion-M, and Bronzong that are either immune to or resist Boomburst. Roost allows Dudunsparce to keep sustaining itself over the course of a game and accruing boosts whenever it can. Leftovers can help keep Dudunsparce healthy so that it doesn't expend Roost PP too early, while Heavy-Duty Boots can allow Dudunsparce to get on the field easier while hazards are down. Rattled can allow Dudunsparce to punish the various U-turn and Knock Off users in the tier to gain a Speed boost. 100 Speed EVs enable Dudunsparce to outspeed Incineroar and Vaporeon and hit them with Boomburst before they use Parting Shot and Haze, respectively. They also let Dudunsparce outspeed neutral-nature Basculegion-M after a Rattled boost. Tera Poison gives Dudunsparce a Fighting resistance, and it also comes with the benefit of not letting Dudunsparce get poisoned by Pokemon such as Munkidori and Amoonguss. Tera Ghost gives Dudunsparce an immunity to Fighting-type attacks from Pokemon such as Paldean Tauros-W while also boosting the power of Shadow Ball. Additionally, it's a better Tera type against Bronzong because, unlike Tera Poison, it makes Dudunsparce not weak to Psychic Noise and immune to Body Press. Calm Mind Dudunsparce fits primarily on bulky offense and balance teams, which love its ability to set up easily on many common defensive Pokemon like Vaporeon, Gligar, and Tsareena. Therefore, Pokemon such as Paldean Tauros-W, Flygon, and Swampert enjoy Dudunsparce's presence and can bring these foes in so that Dudunsparce can use them as setup fodder. Fighting-type answers such as Galarian Slowbro and Amoonguss are heavily appreciated by Dudunsparce, while in return, Dudunsparce can help against Pokemon they may struggle with such as Basculegion-M and Kilowattrel. Entry hazard removers such as Tsareena and Altaria are much appreciated by Dudunsparce, as they allow it to reliably run Leftovers to further aid its sweeping potential. Pokemon that are walled by Bronzong such as Munkidori and Flygon heavily appreciate Dudunsparce, as it can reliably chip or set up on Bronzong, allowing them a much easier time for wallbreaking. In return, they can help against Pokemon such as Flamigo that might otherwise trouble Dudunsparce. Due to its Ghost immunity, Dudunsparce is often tasked with switching into Shadow Ball from Chandelure. However, it struggles with switching into Fire Blast, so Dudunsparce appreciates partners such as Basculegion-M and Altaria that can take Chandelure's Fire-type attacks.
