Análisis

Set Details Seismic Toss prevents Chansey from being completely passive by dealing reliable, consistent damage against non-Ghost-type targets. Heal Bell allows Chansey to cure status ailments for team members like Houndstone. Thunder Wave enables Chansey’s teammates like Basculegion-M and Flamigo to cripple faster foes like Paldean Tauros-W, Munkidori, and Chandelure, which is especially useful on bulky teams reliant on paralysis and Toxic poison to deal with such threats. Alternatively, the combination of Shadow Ball and Calm Mind provides solid coverage against Ghost-types like Decidueye and Chandelure that would wall Chansey while better handling any Calm Mind attempts from Reuniclus, Galarian Articuno, and Sylveon. The mixed defensive EV spread allows Chansey to have better special bulk while minimizing damage from physical moves that could chip it down and should be run on sets lacking Calm Mind. Alternatively, the physically defensive EV spread supports Calm Mind + Shadow Ball sets in setting up. Tera Dark gives Chansey a Psychic immunity for Psyshock, Psychic Noise, and Stored Power from Reuniclus, Meloetta, and Galarian Articuno, while Tera Fairy offers Chansey a better defensive typing that allows it to better handle Pokemon like Flygon, Paldean Tauros-W, and Incineroar. Alternatively, Tera Ghost boosts the power of Shadow Ball while providing a Fighting immunity to help against Pokemon such as Toxicroak, Infernape, and Paldean Tauros-W. Chansey pairs with other stall staples such as Gligar, Scream Tail, Houndstone, and Altaria that handle Fighting-types like Flamigo and Paldean Tauros-F. In particular, Gligar synergizes greatly with Chansey, as the former handles wallbreakers like Flamigo and Flygon while offering great utility in the form of Knock Off to remove held items from Incineroar and Toxic to cripple Pokemon like Galarian Articuno and Houndstone. In return, Chansey handles special attackers like Chandelure, Inteleon, and Sylveon that force Gligar to use up its Tera. Chansey also appreciates partners such as Static Belibolt and Rocky Helmet Galarian Slowbro that can deal with pivot spam cores consisting of foes like Flamigo and Grafaiai. Steel-types like Copperajah and Duraludon can handle Pokemon such as Munkidori and Galarian Articuno while allowing Chansey to forgo Stealth Rock in favor of another move. Chansey also benefits from entry hazard stack support due to its relative passivity, appreciating partners like Spikes Gligar and Brambleghast and Stealth Rock Bronzong to wear down Pokemon like Choice Specs Chandelure and Paldean Tauros-W. Due to Chansey's reliance on Eviolite, hazard removal options like Tsareena, Avalugg, Brambleghast, and Altaria prevent it from getting worn down. Knock Off absorbers like Scream Tail and Houndstone, which are also good switch-ins to Fighting-types, are necessary partners. Secondary special walls like Bronzong and Goodra can prevent Chansey from being overwhelmed by special wallbreakers, with the latter especially having utility such as Dragon Tail, Knock Off, and Toxic. Dark-types such as Incineroar and Scrafty can help take on Ghost-types like Choice Specs Chandelure, Decidueye, and Basculegion-M that Chansey struggles with if lacking Shadow Ball.
